Adulting Reward System #2 Tea Therapy

Adulting Reward System #2 Tea Bath Therapy

Relax though sore muscles in a warm tea bath after a day of housework.
It's easy to make with a few ingredients you already have in your kitchen.
Think of it as bath time therapy.
I just happen to be a tea lover and so you'll find a lot of my rewards are centered around tea themes.

Here is what you'll need...

candles
cup of brewed tea
tub of warm water
soft music

Fill up your bathtub with warm water.  I start out on hot and by the time it's full it's just the right temperature to soak in.  Add your favorite herbal tea blend in a cotton organic muslin bag.
Note: Some berries can stain the tub.
I use organic tea herbal blends. Hang the bag over the spout and let the hot water run over the bag to make the tea infusion in your bath water.  I let mine soak in the tub after it was full for 30 minutes.
My demonstrator link is here at Tealightfultea

Put a few jar candles around the tub on the shelf.  I happen to have a big built in window seat in mine.
Brew your favorite tea blend and turn on some soft music.  Now, get in an relax for a while.

I recommend doing this right before bedtime and you'll have blissful sleep.
Whatever time you decide is up to you.  But, prepare to relax the rest of the day.

If you are just discovering my 2019 Organizing Challenge you'll want to go back to the beginning and read each post up to here.  This is a really fun way to make your home beautiful again.
Here they are in order below... Enjoy!

Disclaimer:  You should check with your doctor before adding any new routine to your life.
I've looked up an article for you to consider before trying this tea therapy out.

Adulting Reward System For Organizing Your Home Challenge #1

Adulting Reward System For Organizing Your Home Challenge

#1 Tea Aromatherapy

Did you grow up with a reward system?  You know the poster board looming on a wall so you could check off the chores you were supposed to do each day.  Did you like it?  Was it motivating?  Leave a comment below letting me know and whether you implemented your own for your children.

I grew up with a reward system.  It was a chart on the wall with our names and a list of chores we were to do each day of the week.  If we completed our chore for the day without being told we got a gold star for that day.  At, the end of the week we got a reward that my Mom picked out for us.
It could be going to Dairy Queen and getting our favorite ice cream.  Or, a trip to the toy store for a special toy we had been wanting.  So, I was good at getting my chores done so I could get my reward.
Once, I became a Mother I realized that having a reward system was a good thing.  So, I researched different types and found one that worked for my daughter.  Since, she is an only child it was pretty easy to give her a few little chores to do, mainly in her room.  It worked good and she was able to earn her own money.  But, with money comes responsibility.   So, I taught her how to manage her money at a young age.  It has paid off big time.  She now uses my Cash Envelope System and has paid off her car a few months early.  She only has one credit card and only uses it for emergencies.
You can find my handmade products for budgeting and organizing in my Etsy shop at...
Now that we are adults who rewards us for getting a job done?  No one, right!  So, let's fix that.

For our little organizing challenge for 2019 we need to reward ourselves for getting our chores done each day, week and month.  The good news is you get to come up with your rewards list.
Pretty cool, right?

I'm going to post my rewards list one at a time throughout the months to give you ideas of what you can put on your rewards list.  There is no one micro-managing your list and looking over your shoulder so don't feel guilty at all.

You deserve this and you need to reward yourself for completing this challenge.

Adult Reward #1
Tea Aromatherapy

Now, you can do this one of two ways.  For me it is going to be stove top tea aromatherapy.
But, for you it can be tea Bath aromatherapy.  No matter which way you decide to use your tea aromatherapy it will make your house smell wonderful and make you feel relaxed.
This is my all natural room freshener recipe too.
And, let's face it, after a day of cleaning and organizing we need both.

So, here is what you will need to make your tea aromatherapy adult reward.
My favorite organic tea blends are from Tealightfultea
My link to my website >>> Sweetretreats <<<<<

1.  pick out your favorite blend of organic tea

2.  Get out a large 4 quart pot

3.  Fill the pot to the top leaving 2 inches of boil room

4.  Put the lid on and bring it to a rolling boil

5.  Turn the temperature down to medium so you keep a low boil

6.  Remove the lid and add one tea bag at a time

7.  Once you start to smell the fragrance you can keep adding the number of bags until you get the desired result of filling your house with tea aromatherapy.

8.  Add lemon slices, cut up fruit, vanilla, cinnamon extract etc...

Now, to make this easy as pie.  Let's come up with a whole list of rewards at one time for the first month,  January.  Get out a piece of lined paper 8.5 x 11 inches.  Take about 20 minutes to complete your list.  You want this to be good.  Don't  rush this process.

Now, here is the hard part.  Don't ask anyone else what to put on your reward list.  This is your reward so you don't need anyone telling you what you deserve.  I mean that.  Don't ask Anyone!!!

Set a timer and come back once you are done with your list.

Are you done yet?

Now, you get to decide how you are going to reward yourself each day after you finish your chore.  Or, are you going to wait until the end of the week or month.  That's totally up to you.  You are in charge of this adult reward system for our 2019 Organizing Challenge.

How To Organize A Room In 20 Minutes Or Less

20 Minutes Organizing Tips

Tip # 1
Pick the room you are going to organize that day

Tip # 2
Divide the room into four sections

Tip #3
Set a timer for 20 minutes and pick up everything you see that does not belong in that room and put it where it belongs

Tip #4
Now pick on section of the room and clean it thoroughly (if the timer is still going move on to the next section and so on until the timer goes off)
I like to use all natural cleaning products like Shaklee Basic-H and Norwex Micro Fiber Cloth
You can join Shaklee for $19 and receive 15% off your purchases at:
www.shaklee.comhttp://www.shaklee.com click Join and add me as your referral: Marsha Jaramillo

Tip #5
Write down what you did in your planner

Tip #6
Do this every day until you have each room in your house organized and cleaned

Here is how I go about organizing my cluttered house.

1.  I start with vacuuming the whole house (Shark Complete Seal Anti Allergen)
Use my >>>>  Shark Referral Link <<<<<to try out a vacuum

2.  As I go along I pick up anything on the floor and put it where it belongs

3.  This takes me about 20 minutes for my 1500 sq. ft. home

4.  I then take a break at the computer and put my feet up but I don't waste time surfing the web

5.  I do something for my business like writing this blog post today

6.  Or, I look at my to-do-list and order things we are running low on or that my doctor or dentist recommended I buy

By the time I do all of the above it is time for lunch.  So, I make my lunch which is usually heating up something on the stove out of the freezer.  After lunch I wash the dishes and clean the kitchen counters.  I don't use a dishwasher because it harbors mold and is a nesting ground for roaches.  Don't believe me?  Ask your hubby to pull it out and take it apart.  You'll be amazed at what you've been washing your dishes in.  Clean the drain pipes and hoses thoroughly in bleach or buy new ones.

If you'd like to have a little support and motivation to organize your house in 2019, I invite you to join my challenge.  >>>> Organizing Challenge For 2019 <<<<<

Disclaimer: I am not paid or receiving products from any of the companies mentioned. The opinions and comments are mine.

Clever Uses For A Travel Wallet

Travel Wallets, Are A Must Accessories To Add To Your Packing List

Most women carry a wallet or purse with them to keep cash, credit cards and a checkbook organized.  I have a main wallet that I use and keep all of my essentials inside along with one of my laminated envelope wallets.  I prefer the snap closure so I can take it out and carry it alone and leave the bulky fabric wallet in my purse.  I use a key fob to carry my keys around my wrist and my laminated wallet to carry my money and receipts.

Carrying a heavy purse can put your back and should out of alignment.  I have a zippered bag in side my car that I keep my purse in while I am inside the store.  The car is locked and my contents are safe inside.

Clever Uses For A Travel Wallet

One of the most amazing ways to use a travel wallet is to bring your favorite tea bags and sweetener in on your travels.  Let's face it.  Those boring black teas you get served at every food joint is full of caffeine and is not for a true tea connoisseur. I only drink organic beverages and purified water.  So, I bring along my own in the car with me in an insulated food bag.

I keep my tea wallet in my purse filled with my favorite blend of tea from Tealightfultea
Visit my website to pick up one of these organic hand blended teas in a variety of flavors.
I also use the natural tea bags to put the loose leaf tea inside and then pop it inside my tea wallet.  You can wrap each tea bag in cotton cloth to keep it clean if you are a little concerned about that kind of thing.

Another clever use for a travel wallet is to have it personalized and fill it with the recipients favorite goodies or gift card.  No one could ever mistake this beautiful wallet for theirs when they see a special name and date on the outside.

We add the lettering to the material before we laminate them.  So, it can't be taken off.  It's there to stay!

Another, fun way to use a travel wallet is to save up for your vacation.  Maybe you are planning a trip to Europe or a little town in the USA that is styled like a Bavarian style village in Europe, like my favorite mountain town of Helen, GA

There are waterfalls to hike to and trails to explore in the woods.  Tons of little mom and pop shops nestled in the countryside towns surrounding Helen that will make you fall in love and want to come back to visit year after year.

You'll find an wide variety of travel wallets at Markets Of Sunshine a charming little shop that I curate since 2008.

If you'd like to save 20% off your first purchase of $30 or more I invite you to join my "Hero Adventure" mailing list.  It's a fun little newsletter I send out several times a month filled with tidbits for the wanderlust enthusiasts, tea lovers and paper horders (card making and scrapbooking kind)

Until next time...

Sending You Sunshine,

Marsha J.
