Markets of Sunshine: Buying Club Welcome to Digi Graphics 4 U to our Etsy Team!

Markets of Sunshine welcomes Digital Graphics shop Digi Graphics 4 U to our Etsy team.  Recently, we opened up a new avenue of getting sales and jump starting your business with our Buying Club on Facebook.  I meet Dani's mother Kelli when she joined my buying club private group on Facebook.  Whether, you are in direct sales and need a little more sales to meet your monthly requirement or are selling handmade products on Etsy or another venue, the buying club will help you get on the radar of Google and other search engines.

My Markets of Sunshine FL Etsy shop was needing some love so I joined a buying group to boost my sales.  It worked so well that I decide to start my own buying club and invite family friendly business owners to join.  In the first week of kicking off the group I had 7 businesses join.

If you would like to infuse new life into your business why not give the buying club a try for one month and jump start your sales.  I've already gotten more sales as a result of the buying clubClick here to join the Buying Club!

Let me introduce you to our newest seller on Etsy.  It is a mother and daughter team.  Welcome
Digi Graphics 4 U for your business and crafting needs. To see more of their products, click here.

Why did you open your Etsy shop?

I Started my shop to help earn some extra money, love to create and thought this would take care of both needs! :)

What is so great about a digital image?
Let me count the way.

1. Cheap! You pay one price. You print or take to the printer.

2. You design or pick from ready made.

3. You don’t have to wait forever for custom invitations. Most places take 4 to 6 weeks to print and deliver and you have tax, shipping and handling! They also charge you per invitation. If you buy them from the store you get what everyone else has and you have to fill them out by hand or run them off on the computer trying to line them up. What a hassle. Digital images take 1-3 days. Depending on your order.

5. You can custom design a digital image invitation or party favor for your unique party. After all the party is about you right?

6 You can email your invitation. What? Yes. Ever plan the party at the last minute or friend moved and you don’t have their address? Email the invitation.

7. You can send your invitation out on Facebook or other social social sites. Go for it! Just up load your invitation and pow! The word is out. You can also get a matching email reminder to send out to your guests to remind them of your party. Sometimes people forget not a good thing, when you are throwing a surprise party.

8. Party favors. You can get matching party favors. You can customize those too and save even more money.

9. You don’t have to go anywhere. You stay home. You save gas, time and money buy sitting at your computer. Clicking on my website and ordering your image. Bam! In a day you get your images.

10. The money you saved you spend on party gifts, food and maybe something for yourself. :)

Yes, Digital Images make sense. Get started on that party today.
Here is my favorite image from Dani's shop.  I'm hosting a tea party in the Fall and this is going to be the invitation I use.

Free DIY Project Sunday: Dough Dolls

If you grew up in the 1970's you probably made these in school during art class.  I found this lovely vintage book from 1975 with poems about friendship and along the way they have tucked in a number of wonderful craft projects.  Here is the one Markets of Sunshine Etsy Team is sharing with you today.  How to make dough dolls a tradition you can bake.

Dough art, as ancient as bread making itself, can be a wonderfully relaxing and satisfying hobby.
Friends will appreciate a home-baked gift meant to be kept and treasured, not eaten.

The recipe is a simple one.
Let's get started!
Ingredients List:
4 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
1 3/4 cup water
Mix these 3 ingredients together for 7 or 8 minutes.  Get a melon scoop size ball and make the head.  Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and place the ball on it at the top of the tray.
Make a body out of foil and shape to form a dress or shirt and pants.
Make arms and legs and set in place.

Now roll a piece of dough with a rolling pin in a thin square.  Cut articles of clothing from this and attach onto the doll with a few drops of water.
Add as many different layers of this dough 'clothing' as you wish, making sure to apply a few drops of water between the layers.  If you want to add color use food coloring.
Roll a tiny ball for the nose and force a bit of dough through a garlic press for hair.
Form the eyes and mouth with a straw or wooden dowel.
Add checks with a sharp knife.
Buttons added with the end of a straw.
Brush the parts you wish to be browned with canned milk.
Set the oven on 275 degrees
Bake for 1 to 2 hours
Remove when hardened and let cool.
Varnish the back as well as the front to repel moisture.
You're Done!

1st Annual Florida Farm Girl Meet-Up

Last year I planned a meet-up with the ladies I have been doing swaps with on MaryJane's Farm forum.  These swaps literally helped me heal through my ordeal with Lyme disease.  The farm girls showed me so much kindness and understanding which I really needed in a very dark time of my life.
I joined the forum years ago after reading the MaryJane's Farm magazine.  It is about living your life around organic products and in a simple way like our Great Grandparents did.
Today, we meet up at a lovely little B&B in Holly Hill, FL called River Lily Inn.  I highly recommend her tea to anyone that is planning a special day out with friends or family.
Winnie Red Tractor Girl was there and little did I know she is Farm Girl of the Year!  What a treat to spend some special time with this farm girl friend!  Congrats!  Winnie for receiving such an honor!
Farm Girl at heart fun facts!
Winnie drove over 2 hours for our 1st Annual Farm Girl Meet-Up.  She loves canning, embroidery and knitting.
Karla Hoosiercountry is one of my favorite farm girls to do swaps with.  We did our first swap together a few years back for the Tea Party swap.  She brought her lovely daughter, Lindsey and 2 neighbors.  Carol and Pamela with her sweet daughter Sofia.
Farm Girl Fun Facts!
Karla lives on a farm and drove over 3 hours to come meet me, her first swap partner on Mary Jane's Farm forum.  She loves to garden and take care of her animals.
No farm girl would be fully dressed without her apron and Karla made sure that we all had our aprons on so we could Tie One On!
Farm Girl Facts!
Lindsey is Karla's daughter so she also came the 3 plus hours to our little Farm Girl Meet-Up.  She also loves animals and using essential oils in her soap making.
Pamela and her daughter Sofia are the nicest two farm girls you could meet.  It was like talking with old friends.
Fun Farm Girl Facts!
Pamela and Sofia are another one of Karla's neighbors and Pamela was their driver.  She loves gardening and working with horses.
Carol was so thoughtful and sweet and really made me feel right at home. She is a special farm girl friend now to me too!
Farm Girl Fun Facts!
Carol is one of Karla's neighbors who was along for the 3 hour ride to our Fun Farm Girl Meet-up.  She loves to cook, can and do yard work.
My husband Rafael had a nice time getting to know my farm girl friends.  He is looking forward to doing this again with me and our daughter next year.  Somehow, I did not get any pictures of my sweetie pie Kayla, Dumplin on Mary Jane's Farm.  I'm Marjean on the forum.
Farm Girl Fun Facts!
My family and I drove a little under 1 hour to our 1st Annual Farm Girl Meet-up.  My favorite farm girl hobby's are gardening, making anything useful and beautiful with my hands, collecting anything to do with tea parties and butterfly's!
This lovely apron was made by another farm girl friend CeeJay.  It fit perfectly and was very well made!
Some goodies that my farm girl friends brought me.
Kayla's basket of goodies!  She was delighted!  Now we have 2 new tea cups to add to our collection!
Fun Farm Girl Facts!
Kayla loves the outdoors.  She is a budding photographer and artist!  You'll find her lovely artwork note cards in my Etsy shop Markets of Sunshine FL.  Click here to see her work!
This was the lovely table set and prepared with scrumptious food for all the farm girls!  They had chicken sandwich with hot soup.  Tea sandwiches and desserts along with a yummy hot tea!
See you all next year!  Love you all!  Hugs and Love from my family to yours!
Tune in next week for the continuation of my New Year New You series week four of seven.  If you missed the first three you can start by clicking here.
