Year End Review Of 2019 Organizing Challenge By Markets Of Sunshine

2019 Organizing Challenge year end review.

Out of all the rooms in my home that needed to be organized the most was my home office and craft room.  I'm happy to announce that we finished organizing and cleaning every room in our house with the exception of the garage.  That will have to be tackled in fast approaching new year of 2020.

My craft room has one final shelf to be put on the wall and then my organizing for that room will be complete.  Yay!  I'll take a video and show you the final results with my first blog post in January 2020.

Did you do the challenge with us?  If you did you must be very proud of what you were able to accomplish in 2019 now that your home is more organized and less cluttered.  It will always be a work in progress for us.  The daily to-do-list is always filled with more than we can get to that day.
So like most of us it gets pushed to the next day and something on that's day list gets moved to the next and so on.

Until the end of the year is staring you in the face and you look at that to-do list and see that there were just some things that did not get done.  But, never fear the things that still need doing.  Look back at what you did get done and stand up tall and reward yourself for a job well done!

I've already made myself a challenge for the new year.  Here it is...My challenge for the new year is to keep my craft room orderly and the floor clear at all times.  That will keep me very focused and busy picking up after myself when I am working on a project.

My 2nd challenge is to follow my rotation diet and heal my gut issues for the new year.  I am working with several qualified health care professionals that will be helping me reach this goal.
I'm already feeling better and sleeping better than I have in the last 15 years just by getting off the foods I was allergic too.  And, by getting off all the supplements that I no longer needed to be taking for my Lyme disease and endocrine system.

Now that I have a list of foods to avoid I can now read product labels which includes the supplements so I don't keep aggravating my body and causing inflammation.

So, tell me what you have challenged yourself to do in 2020.

Leave me a comment below or reply back to my newsletter that will be going out to your inbox every Tuesday.

See you all when all is new!

Sending You Sunshine,

Marsha

I am finding so many fun things to add to my Adult Reward System list for my #2019OrganizingChallenge that are adding more happiness and contentment to my daily routine.

Here is my Adult Reward System #6 idea, Zero Waste.
My inspiration for this reward, Fabric scrap busting challenge, came from my friend Lynda Coker over at
Collage Along With Lynda.
Let me know which one of my reward ideas is your favorite so far in the comments box below.

Project #1

If you are new to my blog you might be wondering what is this Adult reward system all about.
It goes along with my Organizing challenge that I started for myself and my friends for 2019.
We really needed some motivation and support to get the ball rolling to clean-up and tidyup the rooms in our home.
Project #2

Things are going along as planned thanks to my worksheet that helps you not only plan out what room you are going to clean each month.  But, it also helps you track your progress as well.
You'll love using it if you are going to follow along with the challenge.
Plus, you'll get your copy delivered to your inbox today in two shakes of a lambs tail.
Project #3

Adult Reward System #4 - Visit a Florida State Park

Adult Reward System #4 - Visit a Florida State Park

Do you like getting out in nature?  I sure do.  You've been stuck indoors all week so why not get outside and breath in some fresh air in the woods.  Forget about the bugs and how far it is to the next bathroom.  Giggle!

After my week of organizing for my 2019 challenge I needed to get out of the house and see the blue sky and feel the wind on my face.  For me this always calls for a road trip to a local state park.

If you are taking part in the 2019 organizing challenge then you need to get out in nature to reward yourself too.  Look up your state parks and see if they have the passport book like we do here.  It's a lot of fun to get the pages stamped.  It makes you feel like you are visiting exotic places far away.  When in reality you are still in your own state.

I love visiting my Florida State Parks as a way to unwind and relax my whole body and mind after a long week of chores and adulting.

My daughter and I went on a family day trip to Saint Augustine, Florida.  It's about an hours drive from our house in Volusia County Florida.

Our first Florida State Park we visited was Faver Dykes.
There is no ranger station but there is a resident ranger in the park to make sure guests stay safe.  It's the honor system of paying to help support the park.
Cost is $5 per vehicle

There is a lake and pavilion as well as restrooms. You can fish off the dock if you have a license.  Nature trails are the main focus of the park.  There is also a playground for the kids.

Our second visit was to Fort Mose about 20 minutes down the road and still in Saint Augustine.  Cost is $2 per person that is paid inside the visitor center.  They have a museum inside the building with interactive videos telling about the history of the fort and pictures showing the time period.

The first picture is an old board walk down in the marsh.
The second picture is a tree with red berries on it.
The third picture is a crab eating algae.
The fourth picture is a statue outside the park entrance of a Spanish conquistador.
Nature trails are in several places in the park.  The boardwalk takes you to a marsh where the Fort used to be.  Now there is only underground ruins that archeologist discovered with signs explaining what they found.

What To Bring

I always bring my own food and purified water bottle from home.  Saves money on the fill ups.
Make sure you fill up the tank with gas in your town to save money on the tourist traps off the highway.
I usually scope out the local grocery store and stock up on any snacks or drinks we run out on for the ride home.
Cost
Lunch and snacks cost $18.  Gas $40

For more pictures of our trip check out my social media sites.

Adulting Reward System #2 Tea Therapy

Adulting Reward System #2 Tea Bath Therapy

Relax though sore muscles in a warm tea bath after a day of housework.
It's easy to make with a few ingredients you already have in your kitchen.
Think of it as bath time therapy.
I just happen to be a tea lover and so you'll find a lot of my rewards are centered around tea themes.

Here is what you'll need...

candles
cup of brewed tea
tub of warm water
soft music

Fill up your bathtub with warm water.  I start out on hot and by the time it's full it's just the right temperature to soak in.  Add your favorite herbal tea blend in a cotton organic muslin bag.
Note: Some berries can stain the tub.
I use organic tea herbal blends. Hang the bag over the spout and let the hot water run over the bag to make the tea infusion in your bath water.  I let mine soak in the tub after it was full for 30 minutes.
My demonstrator link is here at Tealightfultea

Put a few jar candles around the tub on the shelf.  I happen to have a big built in window seat in mine.
Brew your favorite tea blend and turn on some soft music.  Now, get in an relax for a while.

I recommend doing this right before bedtime and you'll have blissful sleep.
Whatever time you decide is up to you.  But, prepare to relax the rest of the day.

If you are just discovering my 2019 Organizing Challenge you'll want to go back to the beginning and read each post up to here.  This is a really fun way to make your home beautiful again.
Here they are in order below... Enjoy!

Disclaimer:  You should check with your doctor before adding any new routine to your life.
I've looked up an article for you to consider before trying this tea therapy out.
