Tip Corner
Getting ready for Fall and Winter season can be a challenge when you live where it actually does get cold, which for us Southerner's is below 70's degrees.  giggle!  To make room in your closet and to find the clothes of the season easier, simple pack up the summer clothes and put them in a vacuum sealed bag for easy storing.
They will stay fresh and clean when stored this way instead of putting them in the old time cedar chests that make them have to be washed before they can be hung back in the closet and worn.  No more clutter!

CJW Design Village Handmade Gifts

This week our featured artist from Markets of Sunshine website is Cindy Williams from CJW Design Village.
Her shop is filled with handmade jewelry and vintage finds that will delight your senses.  The prices are unbeatable and the shipping is affordable so that everyone can bring home a treasure from CJW Design Village's shop.

Tip Corner

Easy uses for baking soda and cream of tartar in the kitchen.  Want to go all natural in the kitchen when cleaning?  Here are two ingredients you can stock up on from your dollar store to use when cleaning the glass stove tops, grease off the bottom of pans and to make the smells disappear in the cold food storage box we fondly refer to as the 'Fridge'!

Mix baking soda and water to clean fruits and vegetables before you eat them.  Let them soak for a good ten to twenty minutes then rinse with cold water.
Dissolve a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in water in a microwave safe bowl, then bring to the boil in your microwave. Allow to sit for a minute or two, then you should easily be able to wipe out any baked on stains, plus your oven will microwave will smell fresher too.
Sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of trash cans will help to control odors as you add trash. (place meat packaging in plastic grocery bags and tie then place in your trash can to keep odors at bay)  do the same with any food left over that is meat based or beans)
To give your dishwasher a good cleaning, run it through a rinse cycle and use baking soda instead of detergent.
