An easy way to make your first junk journal without having to spend a dime on supplies is by gathering up old greeting cards you have stored in a box somewhere.  This custom made anniversary card is on it's way to a customer of mine who commissioned me to make this for her parents Anniversary.

In these critical times we live in it is getting harder to make a living.  My husband's remodeling business has taken a huge hit. We are getting small jobs here and there.  But, we are taking the social distancing very seriously.

We don't want to put our health or the health of others at risk.
Since, anyone can have the COV-19 and not even know that they are a carrier of the virus.  It makes working in someones home that much more difficult and dangerous.

We have filed for every form of assistance available to no avail.
We either can't complete the sign-up process due to the website crashing.  Or, we get rejected for some unknown technical reason with very vague information.

Our savings is dwindling month to month.  We know this is not only us.  So our heart goes out to others who are in the same boat as we at this time.

We are also applying to every online company but find that we don't qualify for one reason or another.  The claims make it sound like it's so easy to get a job online.  That is just not true.

Our only comfort is our faith in the hope found in the Bible.  Some may not believe it will come true. That is there choice.
But, we sure believe it will happen and in our lifetime.  We are sharing this hope with anyone who cares to listen and wants a better life for themselves and their loved ones too.

Be Safe!  Stay Positive!  Do something for someone else in need.

Craft Room Makeover On A Budget - Part 2

Welcome to my #2019organizingchallenge series.  Each month I am organizing and redecorating every room in my house.  For March it was my craft room.  Here are the after photos.  Enjoy!

The wall color was a green and orange.  It was very faded looking.  Now we have a beautiful soft sea green farmhouse color on the walls that makes all the new farmhouse decor really stand out.

The furniture is white and has plenty of storage as you can see in the photo.
This holds all my embellishments such as ribbon, washi tape, brads and more.

The window treatment is a vintage curtain and valance found on one of my garage sale ventures.

These storage organizer bags are right behind the door so it didn't take up valuable wall space.
They hold all of my wallets and envelopes I sell in my Etsy shop, Markets of Sunshine. <<<click

This adorable farmhouse shelf is right over my shipping area.  It keeps all my tools in reach.

Cute wood handmade shelves were added along with a vintage sewing machine for plenty of storage right over my sewing table.

This is my sewing supply corner.  The wire racks hold my fabrics and have chalkboard labels on each shelf.  The cube table in the middle has four spots for baskets and lots of storage possibilities.  The shelf above has three compartments for more storage.  The organizer on the left was perfect for my paper storage.

Welcome to the "Hero Adventures" weekly posts coming to you from a Florida born native, Marsha Jaramillo.  I'm the owner of Markets Of Sunshine a sunny little handmade business featuring budgeting and organizing products for the adventurous woman.  I also own a little vintage shop called, Pioneer Fundraiser where my husband and I curate hand picked fabulous vintage gifts we find in our travels at local estate sales and thrift stores.

  I'd like to welcome my newest reader's to your 'happy place' away from the stresses of everyday life.

Follow along with me each week as I present fun challenges that will help you reduce the clutter and end the stress in your life one day at a time.  You'll also find that I share with you what has helped me to stay focused on my goals and how I reach them even though I live with a debilitating chronic illness.  So, if I can do it, you can too!

If you recall I started off the new year with a challenge called #52weeksnailmailchallenge

Well we are at week 39 and there are only 13 weeks left in 2018 to complete this amazing challenge.

It has taught me to stretch my limits just a wee bit and to go outside of my comfort zone to give cards to those that I know but are not close to.  I enjoyed sharing in their life celebrations of reaching milestones such as graduation high school and dedicating their life to serve God and symbolizing it through water baptism.  Of course, there have been those heart-breaking life challenges of enduring the pain and sorrow of losing a loved one in death. Or, suffering from a sudden life threatening illness. 

 All of these occasions have given me the opportunity to think of someone else and give the gift of love through a handmade card with a hand written note.  I think there are still some out there who know how to read cursive writing, the style in which I write my messages.

I am delighted with my subscription to Stampin Ups! Paper Pumpkin card making kit.  The months that I did not want to receive a box I just called them up and suspended my subscription for that month.  And, it automatically resumes the following month so I can receive my next shipment and enjoy the goodies inside.

I will be receiving my October box in a few weeks.  I'll show you what came inside and the beautiful cards I made and sent out to friends for weeks 39 to 42.
